Okabe Laboratory
Laboratory of Homeostatic Physiology, Department of Physiology and Cell Biology, Graduate School of Medicine, Kobe University
About our laboratory
In recent years, it has become increasingly appreciated that immune cells engage in crosstalk with the metabolic, nervous, developmental systems, and so on. As a result, immunology-related research fields are expanding rapidly. We investigate the functions of immune cells from multiple perspectives, focsing on "homeostasis". Our aim is to understand the normal functioning of organs and tissues, as well as to elucidate the pathological conditions that arise from disruption in this balance.
